Honey Rustlin' Farms
When we started beekeeping in 2008, many local beekeepers told us how difficult it was to find beekeeping equipment in this area without driving a long distance or spending a ton on freight. We started our beekeeping equipment business to help meet the needs of local beekeepers in Virginia and North Carolina, but quickly expanded our customer base to throughout the U.S.
Our mission is to build quality bee equipment at a competitive price and also offer custom beekeeping equipment to meet the diverse needs of beekeepers in this area. If you need a custom bee hive component and don't see it in our online catalog, please call us. We can probably make it!
Built with quality, southern pine lumber.
Rabbet joints on our hive boxes
Every joint is glued using glue that is USDA approved for indirect contact with food.
Every hive piece is precisely measured and cut for a well-built, tightly fit hive body.
Stapled with 1/4" crown staples. Stapling is much stronger than nailing.
Our telescoping covers are made with one piece of vinyl coated aluminum. The corners are folded, not cut, so it is a completely sealed cover with no chance of moisture getting into it.
Our screened bottom boards have screen that extends to the complete length of the hive, so there's no ledge for dirt or varroa mites to hang up on and not fall through.
If you are new to beekeeping, we will be glad to help you get started. Feel free to give us a call toll free 866-587-3362 or email us at bees@honeyrustler.com.
We are located in south central Virginia, between Richmond and Lynchburg, approximately 45 minutes north of the North Carolina line.
