This recipe is a great alternative to store-bought chocolate syrup that is usually laden with sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and other unhealthy ingredients.
1 1/8 C. honey
1 C. natural cocoa powder
1/8 t. salt
2 t. vanilla
1/2 C. water
Stir ingredients together in a 2 quart saucepan over medium heat until thoroughly dissolved and bubbling. Cool and then pour into an empty condiment bottle and store in the fridge. Use 2-3 T. per cup of milk or pour over desserts and icecream for a delicious, healthy treat.
